The TaroWorks’ diverse team has drawn talent from tech and social entrepreneurial sectors. Since our launch in 2013, TaroWorks has reached over 100 social enterprises and nonprofit organizations across 40+ countries, supporting over 200,000 micro-entrepreneurs and improving the lives of over 3 million of the world’s poor.

Elaine’s background in marketing research and data analytics has shaped her goal of helping organizations use insights from better data to create positive change in communities. She has a BS in Marketing and Finance from New York University, and an MBA from the University of Michigan. Elaine is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Brent is a market development “triathlete” with expertise in business development, strategic partnerships, and new product development. TaroWorks is Brent’s third technology startup. Previously, Brent led African and global market development for Kopo Kopo, a Kenya-based mobile merchant payments innovator. Brent has an MBA from the Wharton School and a BA from Stanford University.

Sebastian is responsible for driving expansion across Africa. Sebastian has over 7 years of business development experience ranging from corporate sports sales to real estate development sales. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Georgia. Sebastian also speaks both Hungarian and Spanish. Sebastian is based in Nairobi

Roger leads the design and deployment of TaroWorks for clients. He is passionate about how tech can be applied to businesses to meet its objectives. He’s previously led product and operations in a media-tech startup. He has a Bsc in Business Information Technology from Strathmore University. Roger is based in Nairobi.

As TaroWorks Customer Success Manager, Lily is the voice of the customer on the team, and is responsible for ensuring clients get the most value out of the product. She has a BA in Sociology from the University of Nairobi. Lily is based in Nairobi.

With more than 20 years of digital media management, marketing and sales experience, Howard has helped launch or lead eight online news and information businesses – including four for The New York Times. Now a business consultant, Howard advises Africa-based social enterprises on lead generation and conversion, content creation, mobile data collection and customer success.
