New Customer: Onelamp

Onelamp Uganda has one objective, a world where every African household has access to modern clean energy. The organization is a renewable energy social enterprise which leverages Africa’s rapid mobile revolution, partnerships with local retailers and an existing transport infrastructure to build Africa’s largest last-mile logistics network. Onelamp is 100% powered by USSD technology, enabling millions of off-grid East African households to order solar lights by SMS, pay with mobile money and enjoy same day door to door delivery to escape energy poverty.

So where does TaroWorks come in? They’ll be using us to register boda boda (motorcycle taxi) drivers and local retailers, document group meetings, and tracks sales. Not only do we believe Onelamp will take a leading role in creating energy access but so does the US African Development Foundation. They named Onelamp a Power Africa grantee.
